NFL Power Rankings: Week 12

1. (1) Indianapolis Colts (10-0)

The oddsmakers had the undefeated Colts underdogs at Baltimore, expecting a letdown after that incredible comeback win over the Pats.  Peyton Manning, however, is never an underdog.

2. (2) New Orleans Saints (10-0)

For the fifth straight contest, New Orleans was not ahead after one quarter of play.  The Saints certainly played a lot better over the final 45 minutes, but they can’t afford to get off to a slow start next Monday Night against New England.

3. (4) Minnesota Vikings (9-1)

I’m not happy about it, but Brett Favre has to be near the top of the list of NFL MVP candidates right now.  He leads the league in QB rating (112.1) and has thrown the least amount of interceptions among full-time starters (three).  I’d still go with Manning right now, though.

4. (5) New England Patriots (7-3)

Les Miles’ coaching at the end

10 Factors Why The 2009 Nfl Season Should Stay Long In The Memory

10 Factors Why The 2009 Nfl Season Should Stay Long In The Memory

1.  Chris Johnson electrified the National Football League with his remarkable running on the way to breaking the 2,000 yard rushing barrier in a single season.  Johnson joins the likes of Simpson, Sanders, Davis, Lewis and Dickerson in this elite club with his 2,006 rushing yards in 2009.

2.  Thanks to the likes of Payton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees the National Football League is stocked with what can only be described as a classic class of skillful Quarterbacks.  Not since the late 80′s/early 90′s period of Marino, Elway, Young and Montana has the NFL been blessed with such quality passers.

3.  The Cowboys, thanks in large part to the slef belief of Jerry Jones, were pleased to unveil the NFL’s largest new stadium.  Whilst it hurts me to say this I have to admit the place is gigantic and very impressive indeed.

4.  NFL owners were in all probability put off from moving a franchise up to Toronto any time

2007 Nfl Betting: Analyzing the Afc West

2007 Nfl Betting: Analyzing the Afc West

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (14-2 SU, 9-7 ATS): New Head Coach Norv Turner takes over from conservative Marty Schottenheimer. Turner figures to open up the offense, not that you want to stray too far from handing the ball off the NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson. Known for developing quarterbacks, Turner should help Pro Bowler Philip Rivers, now in his second year as a starter. The line is nasty and TE Antonio Gates is the best at his position but Rivers lacks a stud wide receiver. The 3-4 defense, led by LB Shawn Merriman and NT Jamal Williams, is top notch. San Diego is a definite Super Bowl contender.

By the Numbers (Regular Season, 1998-2006)

SU: 66-78

ATS: 72-65-7

HF: 19-16-2

HD: 14-16

AF: 9-8

AD: 29-22-5

Sportsbook Buster: The Chargers are 7-1 ATS versus the Raiders, the last eight meetings.

Sports Betting Angle: San Diego is 13-2 ATS as an underdog in its second

NFL Week 11 Picks, 2009 NFL Week 11 Odds

NFL Week 11 Power Rankings:Week 10 had some great games across the board with Sunday Night Football as the game of the week.  The Colts vs. Patriots lived up to and exceeded expectations.  Tom Brady and Peyton Manning threw for over 700 yards and seven touchdowns.  However Patriot’s coach Bill Belicheck’s decision to go for it on 4th and 2 from his own 28 yard line with two minutes to go with a six point lead will be the most talked about topic at water coolers around the country.

I understand Peyton Manning is one of the best in football in the final two minutes but how do you not punt in that situation?  Even with a bad punt, the Colts probably have to go at least 60 yards.  Instead, the Colts have just 28 yards to go and easily win the game.  The Colts won the game and remain ahead of the Pats in the rankings, but don’t be fooled; The Patriots are back and clicking on all cylinders on offense.
Teams’ previous ranking in (

Emmanuel Cleaver II

Pictures of Priest Larry and Tony sry about the freezing in the beggining

Emmanuel Cleaver II

Emanuel Cleaver II was elected to the United States House of Representatives in November 2004 to represent Missouri’s 5th congressional district which primarily consists of the Kansas City-Jackson County metro area. But, he was born in Waxahachie, Texas, and he grew up in public housing in Wichita Falls, Texas. I too grew up, much of my life in Kansas City and thereabouts. And the point is?

Emmanuel Cleaver II is a United Methodist pastor holding a Master of Divinity degree from St. Paul School of Theology. He was the first African American mayor of Kansas City. So, being a reverend, pastor, man of God, and all that, surely Cleaver would not tell a lie! He knows something about the big dabate!

Thus it was interesting that in an unusually frank interview on Canadian public radio, CBC, Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver, a Hillary supporter and super delegate, gives a sense of how tenuous Clinton’s hold on many black super

NFL Power Rankings Week 13: Saints and Colts Stay Undefeated

Now, it’s time for NFLpower rankings week 13 and I’m ready to rank all 32 teams in our week 13 power rankings. The Monday night NFL game between the Patriots and Saints has just completed and the Saints make their statement.

We have reached week 13 with two unbeaten teams. The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints have both beat the New England Patriots. The Saints and Colts are yet again in the top two spots, we can see two teams go 16-0 in the regular season. But at this point, the clear number one team in the league has to be Drew Brees and company.

In the week 13 NFL power rankings, there really isn’t any team more deserving of the top spot than the New Orleans Saints.

Week 13 NFL power rankings clearly show that it is going to be a tough path ahead for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tennessee Titans, who won their fifth consecutive game with a fourth quarter comeback on Sunday afternoon.

Miami Dolphins 2006 Schedule

Miami Dolphins 2006 Schedule

They won the last 6 games of the season and the media is all over themselves for the Miami Dolphins. Is this team really that great? Many analysts seem to think so. The Dolphins finished out the 2005 campaign by rattling off six straight wins against the Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots. Could this be the year that Miami returns to glory? Is their schedule soft enough to yield an easy 10+ wins and take the NFC East?

The NFC East has been owned by the New England Patriots for a good while now. The Miami Dolphins want to change all that. Last season, thanks to their last season push, they finished with a 9-7 record. This year, they are hoping to take the next step and get into the AFC playoffs. Their key additions include: Daunte Culpepper, Andre Goodman, Sedrick Hodge, Will Allen, Fred Beasley, Kelly Campbell, Justin Peelle, L.J. Shelton, Renaldo Hill, Deke Cooper and Mike Pearson.

Europe Ventures: Obama To Nominate Federal Reserve Chief

Sources from the U.S administration today told Europe Ventures that President Obama will nominate Ben Bernanke for a second term as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Obama does not blame Bernanke for the current crisis but he has seen the value that he brought when the crisis hit the U.S economy.

Europe Ventures were told that the U.S administration sees Bernanke as someone who was calm and composed in his decision making when the financial system was collapsing.

Obama is expected to announce his nomination later this week a White House spokesperson told Europe Ventures.

Analysts for Europe Ventures say that this is pretty much expected in the industry, its clear that Ben Bernanke has done a could job of settling the ship and its only right that he is given another term in office to give him the chance of rebuilding the U.S economy.

The U.S administration is keen to keep stability
